Mercola strikes again

Wow, what a powerful article Dr. Mercola wrote today.  I could not look at the video...I saw one like it many years ago and it wrecked me for a week because I found it so upsetting.  How can people sleep when they treat animals like that is a mystery to me.  No wonder we have so much violence in the world (USA) when there is so little respect for all creatures.  If you haven't seen a similar video, try to watch this one and share with others as it will be a mad population that gets this type of behavior changed.  Vote with your dollars and never buy CAFO foods again, please!

Weekly email 15Apr

Hello and happy Sunday!

Below is an email from the Just Label It campaign.  I ask you to please take a minute and click to sign the petition.  They are trying to make us sick and will succeed if we don't stand up for clean food.

And below that is a letter I posted on the WAPF Chapter Leaders message board about a teleseminar this Tuesday on GNM.  Hope to see you there.

Enjoy the week,
Cynthia

Just LabeI It_______________________________

Last month, you helped submit a record-breaking number of comments – more than one million – to the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) in favor of labeling genetically engineered foods.
And what was their response? "We haven't made a decision yet."1
But we have the right to know what we're feeding our families nowSo we're taking this campaign to the next level and asking President Obama to weigh in. Will you help?
The White House has an online tool called "We the People" that lets individuals launch petitions directed at the Obama Administration. If we get 25,000 signatures in the next 30 days, the petition will be reviewed by White House policy experts who will issue an official response.
We need you to show the President that this is an important issue that demands a public dialogue – and that he should speak out publicly in favor of labeling.
Here's how it works:
1) Visit the petition on the White House website by clicking here.
2) If you already have an account, sign in. If not, click "Create an Account" and fill out your information – then check your email to verify your new account.
3) Then click "Sign This Petition" – and you're done! Thank you.
We have less than 30 days to reach 25,000 signatures for this petition, otherwise the White House won't respond. Your signature today will go a long way toward showing President Obama that this issue matters to the American public.
And after you sign, please share the petition with your friends and family on social media by clicking on the Facebook and Twitter links on the petition page!
Thanks for keeping the pressure on our leaders in Washington.

GNM Teleseminar posting__________________________________

Hello,
I have recently been posting about German New Medicine every time I see a post about cancer on this board.  Below is info on a teleseminar taking place this Tuesday.  Whether you are interested in cervical cancer or not, the information will help you understand the "Five Biological Laws of the New Medicine" which are required reading/understanding and will help you begin to understand the origin of and healing from any cancer.  I am healing from breast cancer using GNM after a number of therapies failed to help me.  Five and a half years after a mammogram (my last one ever) aggravated a small healing tumor (I did not know about it and it did not show up on mammogram) I am at last healing, learning and will never fear any type of cancer again.  Fear and panic is the worst thing for healing, but great for cancer growth which our medicos are so apt at achieving.

A WAPF diet rich in protein and good fats is encouraged as is anything that will support the body's own healing abilities.  Hope you will join me.

Weekly member letter 1

Happy "P/E" as a friend shared with me the other day. Most of you celebrate E so Happy Easter! But, can't leave out P, so Happy Passover. I love this picture and her comments. Marilyn's figure would not suit Madison Ave today, but it is still one of the best in history. When did tastes change so dramatically? And for the worse I am afraid...skinny is so unrealistic and creates a society full of unhappy girls trying to achieve something so unhealthy. Be proud of those curves, girls. Nothing is more feminine or nurturing than a healthy, full figure.

Remember when Heather made fermented veggies? Well, she has moved on to reaching a much bigger audience with her mission. Watch her audition and give her a good vote and share! One day we can say "she is one of our own!"

Now this one should have you running from conventional chickens (thank you, Gerri for sharing this one). You know, chicken is the LAST thing I will order when dinning out. When deciding what to order I always ask what fish is wild caught and try not to go to restaurants that don't offer wild caught fish. If they don't offer wild caught fish then it is a crap-shoot, but I never order the chicken. Hold on to your breakfast when you read this... http://www.nytimes.com/2012/04/05/opinion/kristof-arsenic-in-our-chicken.html?_r=1&src=tp Ok, off to plant some herbs and Oak Leaf lettuce seeds (thanks to Sigi!). What a great way to celebrate spring

Best way to cook bacon

I love bacon.  But, I hate cleaning the kitchen after cooking it.  Always looking for shortcuts in my traditional-foods kitchen I came up with this method which is not only a time-saver, but also produces the crispest bacon in the land.

  • Pre-heat oven to 400 degrees
  • Place bacon (from pastured pigs) on cooling racks in a cookie sheet with sides.
  • Put in oven for 10 minutes then turn off oven.
  • Leave in oven for another 10 minutes (I know it is tempting to open the door and look at it, but trust me, the bacon will still be there).
  • Remove and enjoy.  And save that perfect grease for cooking eggs, sauteing veggies, whatever.
  • Put leftovers in an airtight container in refrigerator.  Simply reheat in a toaster oven as desired.

This method also works perfectly for sausage cut into 1/2 to 1 inch slices.  Yummmm.
